About Us

Xtabi_cliff.jpg

Xtabi Resort has been a principle of the West End experience for 53 years. Built above a fossilized cliffside, our waters sit amongst some of the area’s most beautiful reefs.

A perfect snorkeling and swimming experience for everyone. We are centrally located near some of Negril’s favorite attractions such as Blue Hole, Boobie Cay Island, Benta and Mayfield Falls as well as Rick’s Cafe. WIth Xtabi’s own bar and restaurant on site, you can also feel free to submit to lazy days around the resort.

Decades of experiences are carved into the cliffside by travelers coming to Xtabi.

Our Story

Established in 1967, Xtabi was constructed over bush and limestone foliage. Our seafront cottages were designed with a roundhouse style of architecture to bring a unique aesthetic to the Xtabi stay. While ordained with hand-carved wooden columns and trimmings, our cottages are open and airy overlooking the cool blue waters. Sitting below the Xtabi cottages lie fossilized limestone caves which were originally carved out to host cave parties and can still be used to explore the beautiful cavernous spaces below. Down to the finest detail, Xtabi is a distinctive place built for travelers who crave more than an all-inclusive tourist experience. Come experience the real Negril.

Meeting Place of the Gods

Xtabi – Meeting Place of the Gods. The name is as exotic as the quaint cottages and octagon shaped bungalows spilling across the countryside and perched atop rocky terraces overlooking a turquoise sea. No highrise buildings, nothing taller then a palm tree. Swim in a tropical lagoon or sip a cool island drink while you watch a Negril sunset bursting in technicolor display. Later, dine in our spacious open-air seaside bar and restaurant. “The West End is the best end”. Tourism in Negril is not separate from Jamaican life; everyone is treated like family and the ambience is what you choose to make it.

Community

We love the Xtabi community! We have some long time staffers who have been here for over a decade, everyone knows George, Kevin and Omar at the bar (and their dirty bananas!) Rasta Kojo is our regular fruit monger who supplies us with bananas, papayas, pear and other fruit needs on the daily. And if you need a boat excursion, Famous Vincent is your man with his glass bottom boat.
